Some love is so powerful, it shapes who we are long after goodbye 🐾

Cookie’s favourite things were slow walks filled with long sniffing stops, sneaking a little taste of whatever we were eating, and curling up by the fireplace beside her sister Ginger. She loved sleeping in our beds as if they were her own, and she never missed a chance to greet us at the door with a shoe in her mouth ❤️

“Despite what her name might tell you, Cookie Monster was the sweetest girl. Like most, she just wanted to be surrounded by love. And just as she felt loved, she returned that love to us multiplied. Cookie was three months shy from 17 years old! She was a strong & stubborn girl. To the end, we saw that same strength she had even as a little pup. Cookie wasn’t just a family pet. She was happiness, she was strength, she was love & she was one of us. Cookie was and always will be a beautiful soul.

Though we will miss the physical presence of Cookie eternally, the energy and love we have felt and learned from her over the past 16 years will forever be ingrained in us. And where there is a hole in our hearts the shape of Cookie’s paw, there are also all the beautiful memories of her that reminds us that we will always be able to feel her love. Cookie will be missed but she certainly will never ever be forgotten.”
