Kippie was never a pet or a dog, he was our family member — our first born! He just always had an aura about him that naturally allowed people to gravitate towards him. His calm demeanor helped three of our friends overcome their fears of dogs. He truly had a gift!

Through the 14 years together, Kippie was there through the brightest and darkest moments of our lives, through every milestone. Since joining our family in late 2011, he brought so much joy to everyone he met. Although he is physically no longer with us, he will forever be imprinted in our hearts.

Thank you for the most amazing 14 years — you are one of our greatest joys, and we hope you’re resting easy now. Love you forever and always, mama, papa and baby M.

It was an absolute joy to have Jake as part of our family. Every part of our home has an association with Jake attached to it and it will never feel the same without him here. In his time with us, he saw milestone moments that include elementary, high school, and university graduations as well as many special birthdays. In challenging times, he was always our unwavering ray of light and gave us a reason to smile every day. Heaven has gained a wonderful soul when he was called back home. While we know we’ll meet again, we’ll greatly miss him and feel privileged for all the precious memories.

Simba has been by our side through all of our difficult times and the good times. He has been the most loyal companion, right down to his very last days, doing anything he could to try to comfort us, cheer us up, help us. He was the most majestic dog, true to his name, with many fans wherever he went! Always negotiating for a treat for every task, no matter how small, because he knew he deserved it. He was so emotionally attuned to us and our needs and immediately knew when we needed support. Our favourite backyard project manager, gardener, mail-deliverer, park authority, official cuddler, and snow shoveler. Simba was and will always be our anchor, always there for us. Simby was our best buddy, our confidante, our baby boy, and such an important part of the family. His unconditional love, living in the moment, and loyalty reminds us of what truly matters in life and we will take these lessons with us and remember them always.

Mia was a very special girl, always sweet, loving, and gentle. She loved people and had a big personality, especially with other dogs, always trying to play and get them going. She always wanted to be with me and would sleep on my bed every night since I was 11 years old. In my mind she was perfect and such a cute girl. Mia and Lacey were such a big part of my life and taught me so much — they helped me become a better person, grow my patience, kindness, and understanding. Even through some tough times, I wouldn’t trade our time together for anything. I hope wherever you are you find peace. I love you girls so much.

Lacey was a special girl. She was smart, loyal, playful, and energetic — like a dog you’d see on TV. She understood everything you said and could do anything. She would play for hours and loved catching her ball. When she was younger she was a little crazy and a bit aggressive, but as she got older, she became more confident, trusting, and the sweetest, most gentle dog. She was such a big part of my life and, along with Mia, taught me so much. I feel so lucky to have had them in my life — almost 17 years together. Nothing can replace them or our time together.

Mia & Lacey’s spirits will continue to shine brightly, and the love, lessons, and memories they leave behind will be treasured always 🐾✨

Saying the last goodbye is undoubtedly the hardest. But know that it’s the last act of love you can show your pets. Today, we’re remembering Maverick who was so deeply loved by his family 💙

Mav was and always will be my guardian angel. He was always filled with pure joy, a zeal for life and a kindred spirit. A rebel with a cause! His absence is quite deafening, but I sense his spirit. And I don’t think it will ever leave me. He was a real force to be reckoned with. I hope to carry on and share his gifts with the world. Thank you, Mav, for giving your dad a reason to live and keep going.
